ABOUT

Undrea Toney

BIO

Undrea is, indeed, a Southern Sweetheart, raised with strong morals, and a little Southern charm. This southerner's voice can fill up a room with a smooth blend of dark and light textures, along with a savory tone, which stems from her gospel roots. Her sound resonates from a small vessel that has been filled with electrifying power. As she sings, out of her heart flows conviction and compassion that inspires and touches many lives. Undrea is a proud native of Shreveport, Louisiana and has found a second home in Olympic City USA.

She began singing at the age of three, was writing by the time she reached first grade, and began playing instruments in the third grade. Her family knew that God had given her a special gift that she would undoubtedly handle with care. Growing up as a child, she was influenced by a plethora of artists ranging from 'A to Z'. She possesses an indescribable love for God and people, a zest for life, a strong appreciation for the arts and music, as well as a gracious spirit toward the gifts that the creator has entrusted in her. Undrea desires to use her gifts in ministry to impact the entire world. Her style is innovative, unique, and intriguing, which reflects from a background of Gospel, Classical, Jazz, and highlights of Rhythm & Blues. A delightful mixture of all genres has been infused into her distinctive sound.

Undrea Toney is an astounding musician, songwriter, and praise and worship leader. She has travelled and performed all over the U.S., as an earlier member of the all-female gospel group, "Zie'l", and has been blessed throughout her ministerial experiences to share the stage with and open up for artists such as Yolanda Adams, Kirk Franklin, Dorinda Clark-Cole, Donnie McClurkin, Earnest Pugh, Marvin Saap, Leandria Johnson, Crystal Aiken and many others.

As she continues on her life's journey, Undrea believes that God has purposed her to break down barriers between the church and the world and proclaim the eternal Good News to those who live on the earth--to every nation, tribe, language and people. As Undrea's gift makes room, she will continue to be that light on a hill, drawing all men unto Christ with dynamic forms of ministry and through the sounds of traditional and untraditional music, along with the God-given words that will bring life and light to any situation.
